Become a Labor Day Auction Ambassador
Plans are underway for Hospice & Community Care’s 35th annual Labor Day Auction and we hope you will consider volunteering! Being an Auction volunteer is a lot of fun. There are roles for everyone including family, friends and children over 12.
Currently, we are looking for volunteers to help contact businesses and secure items to be sold at the Auction. It’s a great way to support Hospice & Community Care and get to know members of your community. Training will be provided at a kickoff meeting:
Thursday, May 30
5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Essa Flory Center at 685 Good Drive, Lancaster
Please contact Devon Fiore, Special Events Coordinator, with any questions at (717) 391-2434.
“Serving as a Labor Day Auction Ambassador is something I love doing; it’s great to represent such a wonderful organization. People I speak with are open and giving, and it’s fun to see individuals and companies give from the heart.” ~Darlene Beachy
In addition to securing auction items, we need strong individuals to help set up for the event the week prior, August 26-30. Throughout that week, volunteers will set up tables, chairs, and unload tens of thousands of auctions items as well as enjoy delicious homemade breakfasts and lunches! You can volunteer for a few hours or a few days. And we are always in need of volunteers with a heavy duty pickup truck or large vehicle.
If you would like to volunteer at the Auction, please complete and return the form here by July 5. If you need additional forms for family members, feel free to make a copy or contact Jacqueline Bilder at (717) 391-2441. You will receive a confirmation letter with your scheduled shifts by August 16.
